Client Services Associate/Marketing & Communications Coordinator
As the first point of contact for many of our clients, Janessa ensures that they receive warm, personal service for all their requests. She assists Tom in handling the operational and administrative functions to keep everything running smoothly at Decker Financial. Janessa’s other responsibilities include maintaining compliance guidelines, organizing client events, and using her background and expertise to coordinate marketing strategy for Decker Financial.
Janessa graduated from Sonoma State University with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and previously worked in commercial real estate. She describes herself as being client obsessed. Because of her background in marketing and hospitality, she’s learned the importance of building and maintaining relationships and she brings that passion with her to Decker Financial. She enjoys being a part of a team that brings a positive impact to others. In the financial industry, she has found a sense of purpose; it brings her great joy to help our clients accomplish their most important goals.
Originally from Tracy, California, Janessa now calls San Diego home. The ocean is what drew her here and she has no plans of leaving this beautifully diverse city that has provided her such a sense of community. When she’s not supporting our clients, Janessa enjoys practicing yoga, travelling, learning about new cultures, eating good food, and spending time with her family. She is very close with family, especially her parents, whom she says she owes everything to; everything she has and who she is as a person is because of them.
